Operation Team Leader

We are hiring an Operation Team Leader to join our client’s team in Gibraltar.

The successful applicant will support the Client Relationship Director (CRD) and lead the small team in the day-to-day management of private and institutional clients, as well as a number of administrative and technical tasks.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with the CRD to manage client relationships on a daily basis
  • Organise and prioritize the team’s workload
  • Manage client bank account opening, maintenance and closing requirements, in line with regulatory and internal policies and guidelines
  • Provide information to the CRD and clients about their portfolios and related requests, through accessing the various bank online systems
  • Liaise with internal and external service providers to ensure timely and accurate resolution of requests
  • Support the CRD with compliance and client-related projects as and when required such as collating KYC information
  • Process securities orders understanding the inherent risks and controls
  • Deal with other administrative tasks and ad-hoc requests

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • First-hand experience in a private bank front office, history of direct client interaction and ability to maintain a professional approach at all times
  • Experience in a multicultural environment is an asset
  • Fluent in English & Spanish (other languages an asset) with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-orientated with superior accuracy
  • Confident to build strong professional relationships with the team and others within the company
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines when necessary
  • Interest in Financial Markets, knowledge and understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, funds, FX, PE, etc…)
